Description

In the VP of Technology role, you will lead the product engineering and DevOps teams to create transformative digital marketing products. You will be responsible for aligning our Technology roadmap with our product and strategic objectives. You will lead a multi-layered product engineering team across multiple product initiatives and disciplines: front-end, back-end, platform, DevOps, QA.

Our Technologies: We use a variety of technologies to power our Order Management, Audience Selection, Landing Pages, Email Distribution Platform, Analytics, and CRM ranging from Vue.JS, PHP/Laravel, MariaDB/MySQL, Google Cloud, Nutanix, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a bias towards action, with the ability to balance between getting things done and making things perfect.
  • Own and drive Strategic vision and roadmap for engineering and technology focus areas, spearheading key initiatives in partnership with PM and business.
  • Develop tools, systems, and technology to meet our internal and external client requirements.
  • Coach and mentor the teams, evolving the process to drive development flow, schedule accuracy and production quality and reliability.
  • Work closely with company leadership to ensure engineering initiatives have the resources to achieve broader company goals.
  • Drive and uphold high engineering standards, staying well-versed in best practices for engineering management.
  • Oversee and accelerate all engineering hiring, staying in line with Site Impact’s core values.
  • Collaborate closely with related teams such as Customer Care & Support, Product and UX to ensure cross functional needs are considered in all work.
  • Ensure quality end-to-end delivery of software, including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive industry knowledge of the advertising and marketing industry (i.e. Advertising systems, Digital communication and marketing platforms, Personalization solutions, Marketing Automation, Web Analytics and SEO).
  • Proven experience in steering the strategic direction of a division, managing budgets, and producing business reports.
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership to foster a team environment, even in a climate of significant organizational and cultural change.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: leadership, determination, resourcefulness, curiosity, optimism, and vision.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to explain limitations, both technical and time, to non-technical team members.

Other Skills / Experience:

  • Experience with consumer-facing web apps.
  • Experience with supporting an API-based platform for external clients.
  • 10+ years in technology and engineering management roles.
  • Managed teams of more than 15 software developers, QA testers, and DevOps.
  • Managed multiple engineering teams in multiple locations including in-house, near- and offshore.
  • Experience with Site Impact's technology stack or similar.
  • Work experience includes small- or medium-sized companies.
  • Experience working on high-availability systems is a plus.
